This landmarked house is located on a quiet, tree-lined street is the historic Park Slope neighborhood. The exterior was carefully restored, while the interior was completely reimagined. The connection between the two is captured by the large opening that we introduced at the rear façade.

The design of this project lives at the intersection between ornament and modernism. Natural materials were always used as a grounding force; as a way to soften the high-contrast in finishes. Traditional approaches were reevaluated and implemented anew, such as the wide-plank herringbone white oak floor.

Much of the furniture was custom-designed and made, and textiles were selected in concert with the overarching themes of the house. Together, the architecture and interiors harmonize to express a captivating voice.
