The party wall between two historic Park Slope townhouses was removed to create double-wide apartments. The exposed joists take the eye across the sweeping, elongated space. The resultant expanse bestows a completely new sensation in the context of New York living.

The materials and hues are soft yet bright, and imbue the apartment's occupants with a sense of calm that is wonderfully distinct from the city streets outside.
